Annie Christine Carter, 18, Rockville, died Sunday in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, from injuries sustained in a car accident.Miss Carter was a freshman at Anderson University, where she worked in the sociology department and worked at Ritz Theater, Rockville, for three years. She was a 2004 Rockville High School graduate, where she was a member of National Honor Society and received Academic Honors diploma. She served the RHS yearbook staff, elected to 2004 winter Homecoming court and was a Lily Scholar nominee.She was a member of Rockville Christian Church, where she was active in S.H.I.N.E. youth group.She played the guitar for RCC's Coffee House Band.She was born Oct. 5, 1986, at Pusan, Korea, to Lee E. Carter and Lynn D. Coleman.Survivors include her father and stepmother Tammy Carter, Indianapolis; her mother and stepfather Sandi Coleman, Rockville; paternal grandmother, Darlene Carter, Sarasota, Fla.; maternal grandmother Lois Hofstetter, Park Ridge, Ill.; stepgrandparents Kenny and Shirley Gephart, Milroy, Ind., and Dale and Shirley Coleman, Oquawka, Ill.; one brother, Joe, Indianpolis; five stepbrothers, Landon (Erica) Coleman, Avon, Joshua and Caleb Coleman, both of Brownsburg, Gale and Kelley Harprings, both of Indianapolis; and one stepsister, Stacie Harpring, Indianapolis.Funeral services are scheduled 11 a.m. Wednesday in Rockville Christian Church, west U.S. 136, Rockville, with the Rev. Jeremiah Smith officiating. Cremation will follow services.
