Anita June Dickerson, 83, of Greenfield passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Golden Living Center in Brandywine. Born June 6, 1931 in Rockville, she was the daughter of Cecil C. and Anita D. (Cofer) Thompson. Her spouse, Dr. R.L. (Bob) Dickerson of Greenfield, whom she married August 12, 1951, survives. She was a 1949 graduate of Rockville High School. She was an active member of Park Chapel Christian Church and was a member of Tri Kappa, Christian Women’s Club, McKenzie Place HOA and the Red Hat Society.  Other survivors include daughters, Devra (Chris) Glancy of Oak Park, Illinois and Dara Dickerson of Martinsville; sons, Dayne (Darla) Dickerson, Doug Dickerson and Dan Dickerson, all of Greenfield; grandchildren, Heidi, Shantel, Cristin, Amy, Katie, Robin, Cody, Rachel, Kyle and Danielle; many great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Cecil Nolan Thompson and Claude Nelan Thompson; and nephews, Stan and Steve Thompson.  Services will be Thursday, July 10 at Park Chapel Christian Church, 1176 E. McKenzie Road, Greenfield. Visitation will be from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m., followed by a “Celebration of Life” service at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a memorial contribution be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Walk to End Alzheimer’s-Brandywine, 50 East 91st Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
