Born Dec.3,1930 ,Tom passed away July 10, 1982 , married Gwen Burns from Lowell, In. in April, 1950, who passed away Aug 2006, Three children; Debra , Oct. 1953; Tom, Nov. 1955; John, Oct.. 1957 He was in the Military, after which he worked for Inland Steel in Gary In. then for East Chicago Flame Harding Steel and became owner in 1974, now owned by his children. They lived in Crown Point, In He was a pilot, owned his own plane. He traveled the world golfing, hunting, and fishing. He had a passion for life and lived it to the fullest.
Just a side note; Uncle Tom at one point quit school and went to Lowell, In. to live with his half brother which is where he met my aunt Gwen. He asked her father for permission to marry her and was told only if he went back to Rockville to school to graduate, which he did. We all grew up very close, Debbbie and I are four months apart, she was like my twin. Uncle Tom was quite an accomplished man.
