Doris Summerville (Plementosh)

 

Mrs. Doris M. Plementosh, 82, of 23 S. Dillon Dr., Titusville, died unexpectedly Monday evening, January 14, 2013, at her residence.

Doris was born on Sept. 26, 1930 at Evansville, Indiana, a daughter of the late Everett and Nettie Newton Summerville. She was married to Frank Plementosh who preceded her in death in June of 1995.

Doris was a graduate of Rockville, Indiana High School. She was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Titusville, where she was active in the church choir, Ladies Group, Ladies Bible Study, Angel Food Ministry, and a member of the Church Council. She enjoyed painting, reading, and bird watching. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary and of the Grand Valley Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxillary.

She is survived by four children, Shelley Covell and husband Dan, and Judy Sopher, all of Titusville, Debbie Littlefield of Wildwood, FLA, and John Patrick Plementosh of Grand Valley; 10 grandchildren; 19 greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Frieda Lessing of Dana, Indiana and Jean Albrecht of Maple Grove, Minnesota; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son Frank Joseph Plementosh, Jr. in June of 1964; and three brothers, Carl, Harold, and James Summerville.

Family and friends will be received on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, at which time a memorial service will be conducted with Rev. Samuel Mabugu, pastor of the Emanuel Lutheran Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Newton Cemetery.
