ROCKVILLE- Wilma L. Gastineau, 92, of Carmel, Indiana and formerly of Rockville, died at 2:16 pm Monday, November 15, 2010 in St. Vincent Heart Center of Indiana.

She was a homemaker and retired after 14 years of service from the Rockville National Bank as teller and assistant cashier.

She was born May 26, 1918 in Marshall, IN to the late Farris Pyle and Opal Swaim Pyle. Her husband of forty years, Charles R. Gastineau whom she married September 7, 1946 in Rockville died August 6, 1987.

Survivors include one son, John R. (Jane) Gastineau of Fort Wayne, Indiana; one daughter, Gayla (Gary) Breslauer of Carmel, Indiana; four grandchildren, Adam (Natalie) Gastineau of Canberra, Australia, Clare Gastineau of Tucson, AZ, Robyn (Nick) Breslauer-Gallo of Chicago, IL, Shelley Breslauer of Boston, MA.

She was preceded in death by a son, Gregg L. Gastineau on July 28, 2004.

She was a 1936 graduate of Rockville High School and Terre Haute Commercial College. She was a member of the Rockville First United Methodist Church where she served three terms and trustee and 13 years as superintendent of the Kindergarten Department. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women. Active in community affairs she was a member of the Rockville Women's Club, past president of Parke County Quilters, and an associate member of the Gamma Sigma Chapter of Rockville Tri-Kappa sorority.

Services will be 10:00 am Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 West Howard St., Rockville with Rev. Ed Fisher officiating.

Burial will follow in Memory Garden Cemetery, Rockville.

Visitation is from 4-7 pm on Friday at Gooch Funeral Home.
