I want to pay tribute to my wonderful, beautiful Mother-She had the qualities of a gracious, caring lady. I never heard my Mother complain during or about any hardship she endured..She worked as hard as any person could--from sun-up--to sun-down. Yet,she had a quick easy smile and always a sweet cheerful word..She loved our Dad with all her heart and soul..and she was the happiest when her four children were with her and "under her wings" and guidance. She had more "best friends" than one could ever known..and kept their secrets and inspired them. She was a religious person and devotedly lived her life in the Christian faith..There is not a day that I don't think of my Mother and praise her for the values, work ethic and her sweet constant abiding love--she lives on in the lives of her children-grandhildren-great grandchildren as the warmth of her love and inspiration abides in their hearts......

I feel I was remiss in not including some significant and fulfilling events in Mother's sweet life...Her life-long mutual and supportive friendship with Lenore Martin Case...the joy and satisfaction she received being a teacher's aide at Rockville Grade School and the principal allowed the students to call her "Grandma Lang" on the playground...being a part of the staff at the Rockville Library was an epitomic time for her..riding in County Fair parade and displaying her entries..entertaining her friends for her Home Economic Club..tending her garden...baking goods for friends in their troubled times...always ready to share and give whatever she had....with an encouraging and inspiring word....walking with friends on the streets where she walked to school and "froze her hands" because she was carrying a wrapped Christmas gift for a classmate and she would not put it down to warm her hands.....always willing to sacrifice herself for the good of others...

Aunt Bert was such a sweet person. I'd go over to her house & she would always make me a cup of coffee. My dad (Bud Lee) was her twin & I always wondered if he graduated mainly because of help from aunt Bert)Of couse dad would never admit it.Judy, her daughter was in my class(1960) & I always felt so close to Judy(& I still do).Judy & I even went to a prom together(i think because we couldn't find real dates.) Aunt Bert would really be proud of her family today. Denny
