Chan Baldwin (Chauncey Baldwin) (1973)

Jim Jerome was our constant fan, advocate, proponent, and booster during countless games as the official Rockville Rox announcer. His deep, beautiful, baritone voice called out the names of Rox heroes as they made important plays, scored goals, tackled runners, kicked extra points, etc., that aided and abetted the home team. Parents burst with pride and hometown players took courage while Jim announced our names and called plays. He was a gentleman and a professional. We respected and loved him. Rest in peace, dear friend.

JIM JEROME WAS THE VOICE OF THE ROX ALONG WITH CHARLIE BEMIS. HE ALSO MANAGED THE MUSEUM AT THE OLD BLUE ROOM RESTAURANT. HE WAS A VERY FRIENDLY PERSON. HE HAD COFFEE WITH THE COFFEE BUNCH EVERY MORNING AT THE OLD PASTTIME WITH MY DAD JIM BARNES.
