Evelyn Hartman (Busenbark)

Evelyn Busenbark, 84, of Rockville, passed away at 10:55 a.m. Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, in Vermillion Convalescent Center, in Clinton. 

She was born on Jan. 31, 1925, in Bridgeton, the daughter of Henry Hartman and Nelle McGrannahan Hartman. 

She worked in various positions in the Parke County Courthouse, was Democratic vice-chairman and was a member of the Rockville Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Rockville High School.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ronald Eugene Busenbark; grandson, Rick E. Baker; great-grandson, Brandon Lyle Grundstrom; daughter-in-law, Donna Jean Busenbark; two sisters, Dorothy Hartman and Mona S. Gianotti; and two brothers, Max "Mutt" Hartman and Claude Hartman.

Survivors include her husband, Herman Busenbark Jr., whom she married on March 17, 1945, in Rockville; three daughters, Karen R. (Shelby) Norton of Rockville, Jonella K. Wallace of Roachdale, and Catherine Ann Vauters of Clinton; four sons, David Lee (Linda) Busenbark of Russellville, Gary Leon Busenbark and special friend Pearl of Clinton, Roger Dean Busenbark of Rockville and Timothy Alan (Judy) Busenbark of Rockville; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lawrence (Agnes) Hartman of Clinton and Joe (Martha Jean) Hartman of Rockville; two sisters, Alice Rutledge of Las Vegas and Margaret (Harvey) Spencer of Villa Grove, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at Butler Funeral Home, 218 College, in Rockville. Burial will follow in Memory Garden Cemetery in Rockville.
