Pat Coverdale Leonard (Teague)

ROCKVILLE-Patricia Leonard-Teague, 85, of Rockville, Indiana passed away at 2:00 am Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.

She was a retired executive administrative assistant at Cycare Systems in Phoenix, Arizona. She was also a real estate agent in Phoenix.

She was born September 16, 1934 in Yeddo, Indiana to the late Leon D. Coverdale and Ruby May Bonebrake Coverdale.

On July 24, 1953 she married Bill E. Leonard and he preceded her in death April 26, 1972. On February 8, 2003 she married Melvin Teague and he survives.

Also surviving, one son, Mitch (Wendy) Leonard of Rockville; one brother, Cliston (Lois) Coverdale of Terre Haute; one sister, Shielda (Mike) Aikman of Terre Haute; two grandchildren, J.T. (Tyne) Leonard of Huntington Beach California and Cortney (Chad) Passmore of Rockville; five great-grandchildren, Tien, Tylen, Ryker, Emma and Allie; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by twin sons, Cary and Gary Leonard, March of 1957.

After the unexpected death of her husband she continued to operate with the help of her brother-in-law the late Larry Gooch, Leonard Pipeline Construction Company in Rockville until moving to Phoenix in 1978. Upon retirement she moved back to Rockville and served two terms as Parke County Commissioner. She was a 1952 graduate of Rockville High School and attended Terre Haute Commercial College. She was a member of the Rockville Christian Church, Friendship Sunday school class, Gamma Sigma Chapter Rockville Tri-Kappa Associates and the Rockville Current Literature Club.

Services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, March 11, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville with the Rev. Greg Robbins officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Garden Cemetery, Rockville. Visitation is 4-8 pm Tuesday at Gooch Funeral Home.
