Patty Pinegar (Overpeck)

ROCKVILLE- Patty J. Overpeck, 82, of Rockville, Indiana passed away at 5:09 am Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the Village of Avon.

She retired from the Town of Rockville with 28 years of service as a clerk. She also had 26 years of service for the former Grab-it-here/Super Valu in Rockville. 

She was born February 15, 1936 in Rockville to the late Ralph Owen Pinegar and Blanche Ethel Kirkham Pinegar. 

Her husband of 45 years, Paul O. Overpeck whom she married December 21, 1956 passed away January 7, 2002. 

Survivors include her son, Rich (Paula) Overpeck of Plainfield; one brother, Billy Pinegar of Tipton, Iowa; four grandchildren, Grace, Rachel and Luke Overpeck and Kayla Graves; one great-grandchild, Ranger Strader. 

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Pinegar and Ralph Pinegar, Jr.; three sisters, Mildred Smith, Dorothy Ryder and Eleanor Lewis. 

She was a 1954 graduate of Rockville High School. She was a member of the Rockville Christian Church and Friendship Sunday school class. She was an active member of the Crosswalkers Square Dance group for many years. 

Services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, May 30, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville. Burial will follow at Memory Garden Cemetery, Rockville. Visitation is 4-8 pm Tuesday at Gooch Funeral Home. 

Memorials should friends so desire, may be made to Rockville Christian Church Missions, 292 W. US Highway 36, Rockville, IN 47872 in her memory.

Shirley Holler (Martin) (1954)

So sorry to hear that Patty passed on.  A good friend and a classmate of 1954.  My sympathy to her family.

Judy (Judith) McMillin (Phillips) (1954)

Patty is up in the top of RHS memories for me. She had a great smile and sharing spirit. Thinking of her families loss at this time. Judith (Judy} McMillin Phillips. Class of 54
