Sad to Inform
Rosemary Martin Fortner, passes away July 14, 2019 in her home. She was in the class of 1957. She was married to Roger Fortner, who worked for Panhandle in Montezuma for years, before transferring to the Zionsville Panhandle. Roger graduated from Montezuma and he passed away in 2015. Rosie has two children, Andy Fortner (Carrie) and Leslie Hawkins (Brian Spink).
Rosemary was formerly employed as a legal assistant for the Law Office of Warren Buchanan, in Rockville.

After she graduated from high school two years ahead of me, Rosemary worked for my father for many years. My parents thought of her more as another daughter than as an employee. She was a very smart woman; these days she would likely be a lawyer rather than a lawyer's assistant. She was also beautiful and funny and kind. What a sweetheart. Whenever I came home, I would race downstairs to catch up with Rosemary.
When my husband was flying planes in VietNam, Rosemary made sure that my girls and I got every benefit available. She was the only one who could figure out all that government red tape.
I will miss knowing she is in this world. My sympathies go to her children and family. She was one of the great human beings.
