John William Smith, 83, of Warner Robins, Georgia passed way Saturday, May 8, 2010 at his home.  Born July 12, 1926 in Rockville, Indiana, he was the son of Myron Russell and Clotine Bartley Smith.

He was a 1944 graduate of Rockville High School and graduated from Purdue University after serving his country in the Armed Services.
He is survived by five sons Van Mark Smith of Texas; Milo Elmer Smith, Todd Myron Smith, Dihl Lorent Smith and Lloyd Nyle Smith all of Georgia; one daughter Monta Clotine Smith of Byron, Georgia; three brothers Myron J. Smith, Robert F. Smith and Thomas J. Smith of Indiana; three sisters Norma J. Loden and Betty Lou Wright of Indiana and Linda K. Phillips of Delaware; twenty one grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Delbert R. Smith; two sisters Emily J. McDonald and Sue Ann Paddock.
Cremation is planned and any services will be private for the immediate family members.
