ROCKVILLE-David Wayne Baxter, 61, of Rockville, Indiana died at 6:48 am Thursday, January 29, 2015 in his residence. He was a retired automobile mechanic.

He was born December 18, 1953 in Clinton, Indiana to the late Donald Baxter and Audrey Lindsey Baxter. 

Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Kathy Norman Baxter whom he married February 13, 1994; also surviving, one son, Jason (Heather) Willhite of Martinsville, Indiana; two daughters, Melanie (Christopher) Peace of Douglasville, Georgia, Angela Baxter Walls of Terre Haute, Indiana; two brothers, Robert Baxter of Atlanta, Georgia and James Baxter of Tampa, Florida; father-in-law, Harold E. Norman, Sr. of Rockville; six grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was a 1972 graduate of Rockville High School. He loved fishing and restoring guns.

Services will be 8:00 pm Saturday, January 31, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville, with the Rev. Don Perry officiating. Visitation is from 4:00 pm until time of services Saturday.
