YOU WERE ALWAYS ELEANOR JEAN BORDEN TO ME.  NEVER ELLIE.  THE NEIGHBORHOOD GANG CONSISTED OF GEGE, CHARLIE BILL, YOU, BETTY, AND BILLIE AND MYSELF.  WE ROLLER SKATED TOGETHER, SWAM TOGETHER, WENT TO YOUR DAD'S FILLING STATION AND GOT ICE CREAM BARS ALMOST EVERY EVENING.  SPENT HOURS AT YOUR HOUSE BECAUSE YOU HAD THE FIRST TV IN THE AREA AND THE FIRST MONOPOLY SET.  I ONLY HEARD FROM YOU AT CHRISTMAS TIME, BUT WE STILL STAYED CONNECTED.    I WILL MISS YOUR CHRISTMAS LETTERS.  SO HARD TO LET A FRIEND GO.

SOMEDAY IN THE FUTURE, WE WILL STILL PLAY HIDE 'N GO SEEK AND KICK THE CAN! AND SIT DOWN AND ENJOY AN ICE CREAM BAR.  SOMEDAY.....

Can't believe this. Your were always Eleanor to me too. Like Mary C. I remember so many good times. We played in your garage with all the tires, rode our bikes down Bridgeton Rd to picnic under the bridge, always stopping to throw rocks in the cesspool. The main thing I remember is you playing Lady of Spain and Powder Your Face With Sunshine on the accordion. The memory of your smiling face will continue to brighten my life. My best to Betty and to Eleanor's son.

A big chunk of childhood  has been taken away by Eleanor's passing.  So unexpected - never considered - then wham!  I am saddened by the news and like Ge, hope for the best to her Son and Betty.  We will all be thinking of her.
