Lucy, "Mrs. Kendall", and Bob, were unofficial class host and hostess for my class of '58. I have no idea how many evenings we, whoever happened to be around, made ourselves comfortable in their home, always seeming to gravitate to the basement and "Party Central". No matter how impromptu, there always seemed to be soft drinks and snacks in abundance, as well as some good parental type advice, which always seemed to find its way into the mix whenever some really harebrained idea came up. I'm so happy for that advice, as well as being grateful for their generous opening of their house to all of us, as they probably kept several of us from an early exposure to a jail cell, or worse! I loved Lucy and Bob like my own parents, as I'm sure many of the '58ers did. They were both model citizens of our community, and I'm sure that I'm one of many who miss them greatly!
