As a child I LOVED the Herrick twins. My family kept their beef at the Locker Plant in town. The Herrick family ran the facility and the twins seemed to always be there when I would go in with my mom to pick up meat. I was probably 5 or 6 and had just learned to whistle and did so continuously. Jerry and Terry would call me Birdseed and would pay me to whistle for them. I usually made a nickle off of each of them (which was big money at the time). I remember them as happy kind teenagers.
