No one could have a better brother. Johnnie was always there for me and without any questions. A very generous soul, a loving brother and a great uncle to our two sons. He died much too young from cancer in 1994. I miss him always.

John was always a really good friend to me. He was also much of an inspiration to me as I went through my later life. Where I took one year of prepharmacy, he got his degree and a commission in the USAF. He went through pilot training right after going into the service, while it took me seven years after enlisting to get a degree and then make it through pilot training. Like I said, I could always look up to John and his family as inspirational. I could not be prouder of his service to our country, and to have called him my friend!

JOHN WAS A VERY QUIET PERSON. AT LEAST THE JOHN THAT I KNEW. HE WAS AN A STUDENT. HIS PARENTS HAD SPENCERS DAIRY AND I LOVED TO GO THERE AND WATCH HIS PARENTS MAKE COTTAGE CHEESE. IT WAS THE BEST AROUND. HE DATED THE SAME GIRL ALL THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL, SO WE GIRLS KNEW HE WAS TAKEN. HE DIED WAY TOO YOUNG.
