Mary Ava Earley Cassidy

 

            Mary Ava Earley Cassidy, age 79, returned to her heavenly family on August 11, 2012.  Mary was born on December 5, 1932 to Charles Herschel and Myrtle Lee (McDonald) Earley in Noblesville, Indiana.

 

Mary graduated in 1951 from Rockville High School in Rockville, Indiana. She then attended Indiana State University and graduated from St. Vincent’s School of Nursing in 1957. Mary was a registered nurse. Prior to her children leaving for college, Mary graduated from Marian College in 1980 with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She was selected into the honor society of nursing, Sigma Theta Tau.

 

In addition to being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Mary worked as a nurse for many years. She retired from Wishard Hospital in 1995.  She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church for the past 42 years. She was also the Saturday 1:00 pm adorer at the Divine Mercy Chapel since its inception in 1989.  She was faithful.

 

            Mary was an Indianapolis resident for almost 60 years. Her last years were spent enjoying her independence and freedom in her condo with her dog Beau.

 

            Mary was married for 43 years to David Lee Cassidy who predeceased her in 2001.   Together they had four girls, Ann Marie, Susan Elaine, Catherine Lynn and Jennifer Lee.

 

                        Mary is survived by two of her daughters and their children. Ann Bernard (husband Bill) children Lilly, Will, Reagan, Ava and Eli Bernard. Catherine Ray (husband Andrew) children Jennifer Cassidy, Abby and Alex Ray.

 

            She was predeceased by her parents, husband, David Cassidy, brother, William Earley and daughters Susan and Jennifer Cassidy. 

 

            Visitation will be Friday, August 17, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Conkle Funeral Home-Speedway. Rosary at 4:00 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am Saturday, August 18, 2012 at St. Michael Catholic Church. Internment will follow at Our Lady Of Peace Mausoleum.
