Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Beth’s strong will to live, steadfast faith and confidence in God’s plan for her life carried her through. The love and prayers of family and friends were a constant strength.

Beth was born March 8, 1962 in Clinton, Indiana the daughter of Charles and Sue Cooper of Rockville, Indiana. Beth was a 1980 graduate of Rockville High School. She continued her education at Indiana State University receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education in 1984 and then a Master of Science degree in Elementary Education at the University of Southern Mississippi Natchez. Beth was employed by the Natchez Adams Public Schools. She then owned and operated The Hands on Computer Center. Beth also founded Casting for a Cause, professional handcastings.

Beth gave generously of her time and talents to Trinity Episcopal Day School, First Baptist Church, leading Bible studies for women and The Women of Worship Conference Natchez.

Beth will be best remembered as a committed follower of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Through her relationship with Christ, her husband, her sons, her family and friends were blessed beyond words.

Beth’s desire to impact others for Christ was evident by the number of lives she reached. Beth was a light of Christ in this world. The testament of her acts of kindness and love will continue to bless others long after her death.

Beth was preceded in death by her husband Barr Brown, her son Preston Parish, her paternal grandparents Merrell and Nina Cooper and maternal grandmother Marjorie Ferguson.

Survivors include her parents, her husband Keith Mallett, sons Jack Daylon Brown and Chase Brown, his wife Hope, stepdaughter Julie Mallett, stepson Chris Mallett and brother and sister-in-law Jeff and Brenda Cooper. Beth is also survived by her niece Lindsey and husband Rodney Berry and their son Landon. Niece Ashley and her husband Matthew Vauters and nephew Brandon Cooper.

Pallbearers will be Mike Blatner, Russell Butts, Scott Hanson, Mike Murphy, David New, Dr. Robbie Savant, Dr. Troy Watkins, and Dr. John White.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Women of Worship Natchez to further women’s ministry conferences in the community c/o Regions Bank, 320 Franklin Street, Natchez.
