ROCKVILLE-Rita Mae Chezem, 58, of Rockville, Indiana died at 9:45 pm Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Union Hospital in Clinton. 

She was a Correctional officer at the Rockville Correctional Facility with 13 years of service. 

She was born April 20, 1956 in Clinton, Indiana to George Chezem and Hester Cochran Chezem. 

Survivors include her mother of Rockville; three brothers, Robert (Jane) Chezem of Crawfordsville, Indiana, Douglas (Sam Crosley) Chezem of Virginia Beach, Virginia and James (Susan) Chezem of Danville, Indiana; special friends Brenda Batty and Rhonda Allison both of Rockville; several nieces and nephews. 

She was a 1974 graduate or Rockville High School. 

Graveside memorial services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, September 4, at Memory Garden Cemetery, Rockville. Inurnment will follow.

I am so sad about the death of our classmate Rita Cheezem. She was a friend of mine in school.  She made me laugh and I enjoyed being friends.  No more pain or discomfort my good friend. May peace be with you Rita. My condolences to her family.
