Mary Lou Martin (Montgomery) - Class Of 1972

Mary Lou Martin (Montgomery)

GREENWOOD- Mary Lou Montgomery, 65, of Greenwood, Indiana passed away at 7:20 pm Saturday, October 19, 2019, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. She was a retired administrative assistant for Child Adult Resource Services in Rockville with more than 20 years of service. She was born March 10, 1954, in Terre Haute, Indiana to the late James Scott Martin and June Fuson Martin.

Her husband of 47 years, Mark A. Montgomery, whom she married September 30, 1972, in Rockville survives. Also surviving, one daughter is Kelli Montgomery Smith of Bargersville (son-in-law Brad Smith); one son, Kaleb Montgomery of Greenwood; two grandchildren, Kaitlin Bailey Smith and Chase Montgomery Smith; one brother, Jim “Frog” Martin of Terre Haute.

Mary Lou loved her many years of service at CARS. She was always ready to return from vacations to get back to the clients she loved. After retirement, Mary Lou and Mark moved to Greenwood, soon joined by Kaleb, and her family was all together.

Mary Lou lost her beloved, constant companion yorkie- Tinker last year. Mary Lou pushed to quickly get another dog to love. Mark and Mary Lou’s newest yorkie, Luci, brings so much needed love after losing Mary Lou.

Mary Lou was very passionate about her family. Most wives/moms are the glue of the family- Mary Lou was more like super glue for her “party of seven” and always will be!

Services will be 4:00 pm Saturday, October 26, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville, with the Rev. Tim Russell officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm Saturday.

Memorials should friends so desire, may be made to Chasestrong, PO Box 40, Trafalger, IN 46181 in her memory.
