Philip Blackmore

ROCKVILLE- Philip Ray Blackmore, 70, of Rockville, Indiana died at 6:20 pm Sunday, June 29, 2014 in Breckenridge Health and Rehabilitation in Sullivan, Indiana. 

He was a retired truck driver with 30 years of service. He was born August 10, 1933 in Vermillion County, Indiana to the late Paul Blackmore, Jr. and Mertice Thompson Blackmore. 

Survivors include his companion, Myla Kay White of Rockville; one son Michael Blackmore of Florida; two daughters, Laura Blackmore of Greenville, South Carolina and Dawn Pendley of Ballgroud, Georgia; one step daughter, Jillinda Williamson of Alfreda, Georgia; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. 

He served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion Fellenzer Post 48 and AMVETS Post 61 both of Rockville.

Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, July 12, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville with the Rev. Don Hatfield officiating. Memorial visitation is from 1:00 pm until time of service Saturday. Military honors by the Parke County Veterans will follow at 5:00 pm at the AMVETS post 61 and a gathering will follow.

Phil was a great guy.  So sorry.
