It is so hard to believe Rick is gone. So many great memories of the band in the late 70's and early 80's. I remember that Rick had Debbie Powell's little brother convinced there was a monster in the basement.

I remember us being escorted home by Dewey White after curfew (more than once).

Most of all, I remember a faithful friend.

I remember Rick being one of the most gentle people at school.  He was a very caring young man and had a way about him that made you feel glad to be his friend.  I will always remember Rick.  Joyce Lewis Foreman, class of 72

Having Rick as a friend is one of my most treasured experiences from growing up in Rockville.  Rick was really bright and I especially enjoyed his wit.  He was easy to be around, very entertaining, and a great friend.  We went to Sunday School together.  We were in Boy Scouts together.  We were in the Young Cougars together.  We used to walk around Rockville late at night when there was nothing else to do.  When Rick got his driver license, he would take me riding around which I appreciated because I was a year younger.  I enjoyed all of the times and experiences we had together.  I am sure there are many people who will miss him.

Rick was my cousin and my  friend.  We spent summers together at our Grandparents and various aunts and uncles.  It was always "cool" to be Rick's cousin.  He was in a band, did it get any better than that?  Rick and I rode horses, did school projects together, laughed and at times, found ourselves in a bit of trouble.  For example, our uncle did not think that the forts we made in the hayloft and the ensuing battles, which required jumping over a large gaping hole was a good thing!  I have no idea how we both came out of that without broken legs!  We always had a good time together.  I still can't believe he is gone, taken much too young.  I miss him very much.
