JACKIE R. BENNETT

Jackie Robert Bennett, 75, of Greencastle and formerly of Rockville, passed away Friday, November 8, 2019, at the Waters of Greencastle.

Born March 31, 1944, in Rockville, he was the son of James R. and Viola (Riddle) Bennett.

Jackie was a 1962 graduate of Rockville High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in June 1962, served in Alaska and was honorably discharged in June 1965. Jackie had worked in school maintenance, was an avid collector and attended Otterbein United Methodist Church.

Survivors include Casie (Williams) Lahr of Danville, IN who knew him as her father; Crista (Williams) Miller of Rockville and Perry Williams, II of Winchester, Kentucky; and a brother, James H. Terry of Wallace.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Estella Donaldson and Charlotte Waltz.

Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 13, until time of service at 1 p.m. at Butler Funeral Home, 218 N. College Street, Rockville, with Pastor Jon Lilly officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Garden Cemetery, Rockville.
