Ruth Ann Staggs (Trusler)


Ruth Ann Trusler, age 74, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021. 
She was born February 8, 1947 in Rosedale, Indiana, to Olem Staggs and Nina (Morgan) Staggs. 
Ruth graduated St. Anthony's Hospital School of Nursing in 1968. Her passion was helping others through her career of nursing. 
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Wendy Schroer (Michelle); stepson, Brad Trusler (Jana); her grandchildren: Michael, Katie, and Curtis Brooks, and Courtney and Richelle Barnett; her great-grandchildren: Treyson, Ryker, and Gabe; and her sister, Nancy Burrill (Roger); as well as her several nieces and nephews. 
She was a member of the Zion UCC in Poland, Indiana. 
Ruth enjoyed cooking and baking. She loved to play cards, bowl with her friends, and travel. She was a dedicated Longaberger consultant. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her friends and family. 
She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Michael Trusler; along with her two sisters, Linda and Lois. 
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021 from 4-8pm at Roselawn Funeral Home. Service will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 11am, with a visitation prior from 10am to 11am at Roselawn Funeral Home. A chapel committal to follow. 
Ruth will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park in the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum.

Jacquelyn Seip (Witty) (1965)

So sorry to learn of Ruth Ann's passing.  She was a sweet girl in high school and fellow classmate.  Prayers for her family.  May God give you strength and comfort during this time.  Jaci & Mike Witty, Class of 1965.

Linda Peterson (Thomas) (1965)

Ruth was one of my best friends...from 1st grade through college graduation. She was a wonderful person and someone who truly loved her family. We had lots of fun together over the years.
