ROCKVILLE- Betty Jo Fisher James, 61 of Rockville died 11:34 am Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at her residence.
She was a retired professor at Indiana State University, she also worked in marketing at the Putnam County Hospital and Big Brother/Big Sister Program in Terre Haute.
She was born January 8, 1950 in Clinton to Stanley H. Fisher and Dorothy Weidner Fisher.
Survivors include one son, Eric James of Rockville; one daughter, Jennifer James also of Rockville; two brothers, Douglas Fisher of Pheonix, AZ and Kenneth Fisher of Terre Haute; six grandchildren, Hunter James, Evan James, Sierra James, Summer James, Zack Brattain and Caleb Brattain; two great-grandchildren, Claire Frey and Audra Brattain.
She was a member of the Rockville Christian Church. A 1967 graduate of Rockville High School and received her bachelors and masters from Indiana State University. Privates services will be held at Gooch Funeral Home. |

Betty Jo never seemed to change, always bubbly and smiling. You could tell how much she loved her children and grandchildren whenever she spoke about them. She will be missed by many.
