Mission Statement
The Rockville Rox Athletic Alumni organization was formed in 2002. Our group exists to promote and maintain the strong heritage and history of Rockville Athletics and honor those individuals that have participated in Rockville Athletics over the years. The goal of our mission is intended to supplement the Rockville Athletic program and enhance the long standing excellence and pride in Rockville Athletics.

‘98’ Boys Baseball Semi-State Finalist/Scholarship Recipient’s Honored
The 9th Annual Rox Athletic Alumni Summer Reunion/Golf Outing was held July 22 at the Parke County Golf Course and brought together a huge crowd of current and former athletes, coaches, administrators, staff and supporters to “kick off “ a successful weekend of Rox Alumni activities filled with renewing acquaintances and conversations reliving many high school memories. All attendees received a special commemorative Rox Athletic Alumni logo tote bag.
This year’s special presentation honored the 1998 Baseball Team as the first boy’s team Semi-state participant. Honored during the festivities and presented with an engraved gift depicting their achievement were team members Brad McGrannahan, Jason Hanson, Luke Wilson, Brad Hartman, Kurt Hopkins, Joe Neeley, Justin McGrannahan, Ed Batty, Donnie Porter, and Coach Mark McGrannahan.
In addition, the 3rd Annual Athletic Alumni scholarship winners, Lindsey Greene and Billy Bettis, were recognized. They each received $500 grants at Senior Awards night in May.

Special recognition was given to this year’s Corporate Sponsors-HBS Systems, Dallas, TX-Max Higgs “68” who also sponsored the $100 Hole Shots; Denny Lee, Connersville, In-“60”; Parke County Community Foundation; TWS Evterprises-Carmel, IN-Tim Smith “83”, Myers Engineering, Inc., Terre Haute, IN-Dave Myers “71”, and Scott Pet Products, Mike Bassett, CEO.
Donators/Contributors that helped make the event a huge success included Joe Collings “69” CEO Ferguson Lumber Company providing the lunch tent, Mary Ann Golden Vencel “73”-JR Pharmacy providing outing gifts; Sharon Malone, Adams Township Trustee, providing the PA system, Owen Harper, General Manager of Rockville IGA for many supplies, High School custodial/secretarial staff, Parke County Community Foundation staff, PC Golf Course personnel, Outing Registration and Golf Skill award workers, and Kristy Dooley, Catering the lunch.
30 teams and some 130 golfers took part in morning and afternoon scrambles. All golfers, in addition to the commemorative gift, received a” goody bag” and a Rox Athletic Alumni Logo Repair Tool/Ball Marker. Winners in the various contests and skill awards included:

The Planning Committee sincerely thanks all volunteers who contributed to the event, all corporate and hole sponsors, door prize/silent auction donors, and all the local businesses who supported the event that has now generated over $30,000 in net proceeds over the nine (9) years for Rox athletics and the scholarship program. The committee welcomes any input from any Rox alumni and/or friends of the Outing and to join them at any committee meeting in planning for a special 10th Anniversary event for the Summer of 2012. Financial Statement
Since the formation of the Rockville Rox Athletic Alumni organization in 2002, our Summer Outing has generated Annual Gross Revenues between $10,000 and $15,000 with Annual Net Proceeds between $3,000 & $5,000. During the first 6 years of existence, all generated funds were deposited in the General Athletic Fund of our school and the school applied those to the needs in the Athletic Department.
Last year, the Athletic Alumni Planning Committee established its own bank account to administer the funds generated by the Summer Athletic Alumni Outing. Since that time the Net Proceeds of the Summer Outings have been applied as follows:
